Hi friends and fans. Thanks for dropping by. Feel free to check out my paintings and download your favourites. Due to recent internet fraud I am no longer offering internet-purchases. However, I will only sell my paintings in person and by cash - as cheques/checks and credit cards are no longer accepted as payment methods. I sincerely apologize. Here are some questions that some fans have asked…and here are the answers to your questions. Feel free to email me if you have any other questions. I'd be more than happy to post your questions and answers up on the next update. What's Your Background? I have been following visual arts since 1990. But have been painting watercolours since 1994. I specialize in watercolours. You Use Any Other Mediums? No. But I did start out with chalk pastel but soon realized that pastel doesn't last too long so I've switched to watercolours soon after and fell in love with watercolours since. Do You Have Any Mentors? Yes. I have two favourite artists whom inspired me to paint the way I paint today: Patrick Nagel and the ever-famous, Alberto Vargas. Nagel was my first inspiration to paint beautiful women and Vargas inspired me to approach watercolours. How Do You Paint Those Pictures? "Glazing". I paint many successive transparent layers of colour, also known as "glazes", to produce the final image. Do You Work In A Studio? I wish. I have a room in the basement that I use to work in. Have You Had Any Shows? No. I am still building my portfolio. Lots of work to be done before I can look into exhibitions. Exhibitions is on my agenda, however. Do You Paint Anything Else? I'll get into painting flowers in the summer. Do You Use Airbrush On Your Paintings? No. All my paintings are painted with bristle brushes and all are hand-painted . Nothing against airbrushing - I just don't have access to an airbrush! Although it is a compliment to have my paintings mistaken for airbrushed painting. How Long Can I Expect Your Paintings To Last? I only use the finest pigments. According to the paint manufacturers' claim, my paintings should last beyond 200 years before fading. Just don't hang them in direct sunlight. What Are The Sizes Of Your Paintings? Most paintings are approximately 20x28 inches (50x70cm) to 22x30 inches (56x76cm). All are painted on Arches 300lbs Hot Pressed watercolour paper.
